DMC 69 Mouliné stranded cotton embroidery floss with thread color variegated terracotta. The DMC 117 series is worldwide the most used embroidery floss for cross-stitch projects. Each skein weighs 2 grams and is sufficient for an average of 1600 stitches, depending on the mesh size of the Aida fabric. A skein contains 8 meter thread with 6 strands. For smaller mesh sizes, you can split the thread in less strands. For example, two strands are commonly used for the smaller fabrics, like the most widely used 14 count Aida.

The variegated terracotta color of the DMC 69 Mouliné embroidery floss is colorfast. Because of this, you can wash the material at 95°C/200°F repeatedly without losing its vivid color. You should pay attention to the washing instructions on the fabric though, because that might limit the options you have in cleaning your finished artwork.
